Visiting home country in between change of employers

Maximus0902

Hi,
I will be changing my job (and therefore my sponsor on my iqama) once my contract with my current employer expires. However, I want to visit my home country after the contract expires and join the new company once I come back, and get the iqama transferred later on. Currently I'm in process of renewing my iqama with the current employer, so I would not be having iqama validity issues.
1. Should I be expecting any problems to leave and enter the kingdom, because technically I will be not be having a contract with any employer during that specific time.
2. For how long am I allowed to have my iqama with the previous employer and be working with the new employer?

It is all depend on your current employer and your relation with them when you finish the contract ?!?!

As long as you are issued an exit & re-entry visa there is no problem. You can come back and start transferring to the new employer if the first one is not objecting..

My advice to you, do not make things hard while they are easy and clear. :)

If you have an agreement with your current and new sponsor about the time frame you are out of the country while in between jobs, this should be fine.
1. As long as your iqama is valid and you have an ERE, then you can leave the country and come back. You will not face any issues.
2. As for how long - till the validity of the iqama or until your current sponsor cancels (gives you exit), in your case if agreed before then you wouldnt have any issues.

Immigration do not care wr you are working, they only care your IQAMA and exit & re entry. Once you are back you can transfer to new company,no issues. Only your IQAMA need to be valid.
