Can I cancel my husband's iqama?

swanzie

Hello,
I am my husband's sponsor on my iqama; he is listed as my maharm.   I am divorcing him, but he will not leave.  Can I or how can I cancel his iqama?

hello,
sorry to know about this. Cancel an iqama means cancelling residence permit. your husband will not be allowed to stay in the country. If you are ok with him to stay in the country but don't want to keep him under you and don't want to final exit him then give him deadline to find a sponsor and get transferred. Being his sponsor you can go to absher and send him on final exit . I am informing you this with heavy heart so pls keep this as last option if nothing seems to be working.
If your divorce is through shariah court then you can take the assistance of court to send him notice.

thanks

Log-in to your MOI/Absher account and process your husband FINAL exit only visa.

You will then receive an SMS from MOI-Jawazat that your husband Iqama is already cancelled.
