I want to know details about these Turkish cities.

Jerara

Hello

I applied to work with a famous well-reputation institution on °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð, with a good offer that has a good balance of salary and package.

I have an option to work in one of 3 choices/branches for now. I want to ask about these places of where the branches are located. Especially safety/crime issues. Since we all can see how there are terrorist attacks. Also, in terms of earthquake activity zones.

Money and cost is not my main concern, but you can still add any information.

These 3 places are:

1) Black Sea region; Kastamano.

2) East region; Elãziğ.

3) Antalya; Manavgat.

Feel free to private message me if you prefer.

I would have choosen for Antalya because  there is alway sun. And you can find more people like yourself.

But Kastamonu is also a good choice, because of its nature and the place where it is you can travel to Ankara and Istanbul and so on.

Don't worry about attacks, because that can happen everywhere in the World.

I intend to reside in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð in roughly 1.5 years so I'll share my findings from my research in selecting my target city to settle into.  Here are my comments to address your questions:

Safety/crime - My family and I have travelled throughout mostly the western half of °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð on road trips and never have we experienced any sense of danger.  One time, we walked about 4 or 5 miles on the Asian side of Istanbul past midnight and had no concerns for our safety as were other people who were out enjoying themselves.  The terrorist activity in Ankara recently is an isolated incident as far as I know and not a trend for which people think about.  Whereas, I live in Minneapolis and safety and crime is at the forefront of our thoughts in our daily activities as there is gun violence, car jackings, illicit drug use & killings/theft is routinely reported in local news.

Earthquake prone zones- Regrettably, °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð is at risk of experiencing tremors/quakes in large areas of the country.  Like California, they live with that risk knowing the big one could hit anytime and they accept it.  In response to the 3 options you have, looking at , it looks like Antalya - Manavgat is the safest location and the highest risk is ElãziÄŸ.  My mother has been living in Kusadasi which is a risky area and they experience tremors occasionally but life goes on.  She has been there since 1997.

Kastamonu - I looked into Samsun which is 3.5Hrs away by car.  In terms of weather, it is cool/cold in the winter and wet mostly.  It is beautiful but what I observed was that the people were a bit more reserved than other large cities.

ElãziÄŸ - I've never travelled to the eastern part of °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð and never considered it because traditionally the eastern part has not a focus area in development and have heard the people are conservative.  Though they are very hardy and friendly people.

Antalya; Manavgat - Our biggest deterrent to considering Antalya is the hot and humid weather.  We love colder weather which is one of the reasons we live in Minnesota.  The cost of living is higher and it is a major hub of activity during the summer i.e. touristy.  The Mediterranean coast is beautiful and has much to offer for traveling to the most gorgeous parts of Turkiye.

These are my observations and I suggest you research further to determine what's the suitable destination to meet your needs in Turkiye.  Good Luck 😊

I like your post, very much so. I personally need not too much, internet, restaurants within 200 m (my ability is an issue).

We live in Alanya (Mahmutlar), everything is close, markets, supermarkets, restaurants, hairdressers (which I do not like (my wife likes me to go (I went today (very, very well priced even with 30% tip)

My wife likes te proximity of everything (beach and things above), also important (personally I have some health issues (and you will have sooner or later). Women are more healthy and live longer, what about you?

Right now 200 M is far for me, perhaps in 2 years I am in a wheelchair.

Just please make sure that you have enough money/cash, but even if disabled in Turkey with some cash life can be very good (especially if you have a caring wife)

Just in a drunk but honest mood. Keep your wife happy!!
