Hello,
I'm hoping to move to Turkey from the U.S. but am waiting for my employer to sponsor me and assist me in obtaining a work permit.  I have been waiting since November 2010.

Can you share a little information or what your experience has been so far?

Happy New Year!

Hi
Me and my family will be moving to Istanbul later in the year, we are currently looking for apartments in the city close to my place of work which is in Ortakoy.  Are there any areas of the city that you would recommend or any areas that we should stay away from?

Hi everyone! 👋

My husband and I moved to Istanbul a year and two months ago, and while we’ve been here for a while and have done quite a bit of touristy activities, we still feel a bit disconnected socially. The truth is, our work schedules haven’t made it easy: he works from 9 am to 6 pm, and I work from 4 pm to midnight, which makes it hard to meet people or plan activities.

But this year  we’re determined to change that and start enjoying everything this amazing city has to offer. We’d love to meet new people, make friends, and find fun things to do on our days off, especially on weekends.

Does anyone have recommendations on how to start socializing here? Are there any groups, events, or places where we can connect with other °µÍø½ûÇøs or locals? We’d also love to hear your suggestions for things to do in Istanbul—whether it’s cozy cafés, fascinating markets, day trips, or cultural activities.

We’re excited to explore more and hopefully meet some of you! Thanks in advance for your tips and advice. 😊

Good morning. Amijam. When I decided to move to Turkey from the U. SA, I contacted a lawyer who took care of everything for me at a very. small cost. If you are interested, I can give you his name and Contact information. Although you can do it yourself with a lot of research he will make sure everything is done properly and smoothly.

@cdnegrete

Go on Facebook and join Kusadasi °µÍø½ûÇøs. Many °µÍø½ûÇøs there who have been here for 20 plus years. And they. have  social gatherings.

@Alex07

Go on Facebook to join a a group "Kusadasi °µÍø½ûÇøs" for all the information you could possibly need. Hundreds of °µÍø½ûÇøs that have been here for 20 plus years that can help you with any questions you have.

@hic

The best place to meet °µÍø½ûÇøs is on a Facebook site called Kushadasi °µÍø½ûÇøs. Most of the °µÍø½ûÇøs that are on this site have been here for more than 20 years, and give give you all the information you need. And also. get you going with. contacts.

I was wondering if you also did the same process for your fiance? If you do not mind, may I have the name and contact information of this lawyer you were talking about? Thank you in advance and looking forward to your reply.
