How to get a Turkish visa for 6 months?

Lictin917

Herkese merhaba! My name is Lictin and I am from Colombia. I am 20 and I am a student. I want to go to Turkey this year during the second semester, but I can stay there only for 3 months without a visa. I really want to stay longer because I want to learn the language and get involved with the culture and people. I would like to stay for 6-8 months, but I don't know what can I do to get a visa for that. I would like to get a student visa while taking a Turkish language course, but all the courses I have found are very expensive. Also, I would like to do some kind of job or volunteering that allows me to get a visa for a longer stay. Do you have any idea about this process with the visa or about a cheaper Turkish course for a long period? Or a job or volunteering?

Also, is the pandemic a big problem for this?

Thank you so much!!

My plan is to go to Turkey. Alanya is my final destination. I think finding a job is a safe visa door. But you should also be signed up at work. Only then do they give a visa. It's easy for a visa if you have an apartment or a job. That's all I know, bay

I was a student in Turkey in 2015. The Turkish embassy only gave me a student visa for 3.5 months but my course was 5 months. I had to get a residence permit once I was in Turkey before my student visa expired. Try contacting the Turkish embassy in your country. They can provide you information on the correct visa/permits required for your plans. Look into AISEC as well for possible volunteer or internship opportunities.

Hi there Lictin,

Hope you have a great day.
In this 1 year of the period of time, lots of things have changed in Turkey`s procedure.
Most important information that you need to know that is you can only get the right of applying for Turkish citizenship working in the company for 5 years with papers of course which there is lots of opportunities for Spanish and English speakers here.
Also as a student, you can extend your visa by applying for a government university here in Istanbul taking by taking the very easy exam.

Just don't get scammed with the agencies or with anybody else who is going to ask for money.
Please don't hesitate the post you're any other question you need to know

Thank you so much for this information. I have been applying to °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð Bursları, but all that is still uncertain. Anyway, for now I just want to go for one semester, so I can learn the language and once I finish my career here I can come back to Turkey and look for a job.

My concern is about what are the options for staying in Turkey for 6-8 months. For colombians we can stay in Turkey without visa for 3 months, but that's not enough time for me.

Again, thank you so much.

Nurdokaya

you can easily apply from official website of turkish government.

They require to see your bank statement to cover your expanses for your requested stay  and purpose of staying and by giving this information to them you will be assigned a meeting by them you will wait for your meeting with the officials which takes about 6 months already during on period of time you are going to have a reference number order to prevent you for any trouble or fine during leaving the country.
