From California to Istanbul turkey

Hi i am new to this forum.. i am Ashley and i am from South Carolina USA.. in about 3 weeks i will be moving to聽 Istanbul turkey to live there would anybody have some good insitefull tips to help me.. i am going over there to be with my fiancee...and i have never traveled before alone or outside the USA before.. so i thought maybe some of yall livin there would have some good insite about the place...
