Etisalat / VPN?

So i've rented this place and for internet connection they use from service provider: etisalat. I'd like to keep in contact with family via facebook messenger, so is there any ways for me to use VPN without it getting blocked/very laggy (tried before and it wasn't working well...) anyone knows anything about this? Thanks.

As far as I know, the only options are the allowed messengers directly by Etisalat like BOTIM.

Otherwise Skype also works IF you use your local country SIM with data roaming.聽 Will not work on wifi as far as I know.

Yes, BOTIM is the only messenger works fine now using Etisalat. But also there are few calling apps used for video calling that does not require VPN. if you want to connect with family, I suggest BOTIM
