Hi, hope fine. You may face an uphill task especially in your field of work, prior to getting a job in your field over here, you must be certified by Ministry of Health - which involves an exam and can get into nursing only after obtaining this certificate now since you do not know anyone here, it can be costly for you - you may as well end up in other profession!
Good luck

Nursing industry is good here, but will depend on where you are coming from and the number of experience you have. Three years experience from Ghana (our homeland) wont fetch you much, but you could land a job in a good hospital here, provided you can prove your self with some examinations and a good handful of practical experience.

Naomi thanks I have done exactly that but am not getting any call or mail. again I was told that unless I come there since employers want people already there. legacy yes ooooo am doing very well. but my issue is how long does it take to write this exams and can't I get a private hospital to work whiles I continue to prepare myself for the exams and finally how much can it cost me. please beside being a nurse I also have a certificate in basic education as a maths and science teacher. though I didn't work with it I registered with the Ghana Education Service.  flex as for practical knowledge am very good. I worked with one of the most serious hospital st Dominic hospital in akwatia before being transferred to Accra. please what is the estimated amount I will need to be able to write the exams. thank you all and expecting a response

Getting here is mostly the best option on getting any close in finding a job. I really do not know how much one needs in writing the exams and i hope someone with more knowledge about this would read and answer you soon. But In terms of amount you need to save to get here varies on so many factors. But i suggest you start by checking the air fair from Ghana to Dubai with emirates, as making a booking with them can get you a 30 days tourist visa to the uae. Then visit dubai.dubizzle.com and check for the accommodation section on the site to know the price of how your accommodation would be like. As for transport and food it also would vary from the amount of travel you did be making to the amount of food you did be consuming or cooking. But budget 2000 AED (more or less) for one month.
