Applying for resident visa after visit visa expires

Hi. I am currently holding a visit visa here in Sharja, UAE. My cousin (first cousin) has a tenancy contract here in Sharja. Is possible for him to apply me a resident visa after my visit visa expires?

unfortunately only direct relatives (brother sister mother father and spouce) can apply for residency of a person. although your cousin can apply, his application will be rejected straight away and you will loose the fees that you will have to pay to get that done.
