Hello everyone,

My name is Wael, and I am a Syrian refugee currently living under temporary protection in Turkey. I am kindly reaching out to this community to ask for help or guidance regarding private sponsorship to Canada under the Group of Five program or through an individual sponsor.

I was born with albinism, and this visible condition has caused me to face constant discrimination, ridicule, and psychological abuse throughout my life — especially in my current situation in Turkey. The social isolation and emotional harm have severely affected my mental health, and I no longer feel safe or able to build a future here.

I have researched Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program, and I understand that Canadian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor someone like me through either individual sponsorship or a Group of Five. I’m writing to humbly ask if anyone here could either:

Consider sponsoring me directly, or

Connect me with a group, organization, or individuals who might be willing to help.

I am not seeking government resettlement; rather, I am hoping to find compassionate individuals who understand my situation and are willing to support me through this humanitarian pathway.
