Finding a job in Canada is nowhere as easy as it once was and it's that much more complex for those who are doing their job hunting from abroad. It's difficult to compete with other candidates who are actually in the country and thus available for one-on-one interviews.

Having said that, if your husband has a long career, lots of experience and has worked for any international hotel chains it would be much more productive for him to contact the people in the Human Resources Department of hotels where he's worked in the past and see if they can be of any assistance in terms of helping with a placement in Canada. Generally speaking even if they can't be of direct help in placement they can usually put him in touch with the right people in the chain's Human Resources Department in Canada. Any kind of a referral would put him ahead of the pack, especially if he has any certificates or diplomas in the hospitality industry. Under those circumstances many chains might even consider a telephonic, Skype or Video Conference interview, who knows?

Your first step is to go to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website and fill out their online forms to see if you qualify to come to Canada.

Its a great advice from you,I appreciate your information a lot and surely I will tell hubby to get in touch with the Human Resources,as he has been in the Hotel Industry for 20 years now from the United Arabs Emirates in various Hotels and held various positions,he want a change for an additional opportunity for continued professional growth.

Sorry for the late reply,thanks for creating a new topic on my blog,i hope it will be very helpful to anyone who is in search of jobs in Canada,hubby is in the Hospitality Industry for 20 years now,he was in the United Arabs Emirates in various Hotels and held various position,he is searching for Bar Manager,Club Manager or Night Club Manager,he wants to experience other part of the world for continued professional growth.
