How to find Canadian employers willing to hire us?

IndianaDi

Hi,

Can anyone offer any tips for finding (legitimate) Canadian employers who are willing to hire candidates who are in the Express Entry pool?! So we can secure our PR and work/live in Canada.

We keep being told to 'get a job offer' from a Canadian company and then our CRS points will increase, however we're being told by most Canadians we liaise with that we need the PR card first. Chicken and egg problem.

My partner's of a Graphic Design background, and I've mostly administrative skills, so unfortunately not Doctors/construction workers etc and not bilingual, but we're still in the EEntry pool and trying.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you :)

Hi IndianaDi,
Are you still in the Express Entry pool? What is your CRS if I may ask?

Hey guys,

I'm a software developer, CRS 351, applied for Express Entry last year, still no results. Does anyone know any related company willing to hire a foreign worker?

Hi Guys

I'm in the same situation, looking for employment/employer/job offer in the Atlantic Area.

I am even planning  a trip to Canada (Nova Scotia, Halifax) for job search in the next few months and I am questionning myself if the "walk in" application will work out there. What I mean is if I can gather a list of jobs online then show myself up there to their offices with my resume on hands to apply directly in person ?

Is there a way to know which companies are designated by the province to issue a job offer and support foreign applicants in their immigration process through the skilled worker program ?

Anyone has gone through this process before ?

Any tips would be more than welcome.

My regards

Officially, all Express Entry applicants are given access to Jobs Bank. And I assume employers who are enrolled in Jobs Banks are ready to hire foreign talents.

Unfortunately for me, I've had no employers contact me to even find out more about me. There isn't much job openings for training managers/L&D too. Plenty of resumes sent out to even jobs outside of my expertise. It has been half a year since I've started my job search on JB. Guess L&D just isn't in high demand.

p/s: just sharing my experience :) I believe folks with a vocational background (unlike me, who is admin-oriented) would have a more positive experience?
