Flying Cats

paulkearton

Hi,
Does anyone have a rough idea of costs for sending our cat from the London Heathrow to Vancouver, BC.? Don't need exact cost just a guide (i.e. Hundreds/thousands).

Hi Paul,

The only thing that should worry over flying cats, are birds who might be their natural prey.

But, seriously though most airlines allow small pets like cats to travel in the passenger cabin as a piece of carry-on luggage nowadays. There is a small fee which varies depending on the itinerary and the animal must be pre-registered, in good health and all health records and vaccinations must be up to date.

Below for example is a link to Air Canada's information about pet travel:

Check your airline's website for information on their pet travel policy.

When I flew my pets over to another country I checked MANY different Airlines Websites to see the best prices and or best situations for the pets. Every Airline seems to have different rules.
