Canadian Adventure?!

We're brand new at the moving abroad business so any help or advice about moving to Canada much appreciated. We plan to move to Edmonton, Alberta by 2009 latest.
We've visited Ontario a bit - family etc but want to live near mountains. We're off there this summer for a 3 wk recce trip - looking at jobs, houses and high schools for our teen and uni for our older teen. Our own jobs are in teaching English/Drama and senior managment with high spec IT. Any tips anyone - please don't put us off!!
