Preparing to retire in Mexico

Hello,

i am actively preparing to retiree in Mexico and I would like to join a chat group to learn more about this process. I don’t have any immediate questions, but I’m sure they will come.

Biggest thing... Do you meet the monthly income requirement for residency? Temp residence is in the 4k a month of certified retirement income.  Perm residence is almost 7k a month of certified retirement income.  After that then you can start the rest of the questions.  Because if you dont meet that then its a waste of time to even look at moving to mexico.  As long as they keep moving the min wage here up every year the income required for residency will keep going up since the equation is based on min wage. So unless the Mexican govt changes that equation it's very expensive to get qualified.  In 2021 when we moved here Perm was 4k ish a month and temp was 1600 ish a month.
