L1B to L2 Visa along with EAD

My Spouse is currently on L1-B from her current employer, her assignment is ending in Aug'21.
I am on L1-A from separate organization and planning to file her L2 dependent visa with change of status date in Aug'21.

Question - While applying for L2, can I apply for her EAD application as well ?or EAD can only be applied once her status is changed to L2 or she gets her L2 visa stamped?

Please advice.

Yes your lawyer can fill both applications in the same time. It鈥檚 what we do every time we renew our Visa. The EAD process will be started and finalized only once the visa is approved.

Of course with the current delays, the EAD might take months to be approved after your visa approval.. good luck!
