I live in New York City

haigui

hello, all
I am a USA citizen and not an EXPAT
(in the future, I might move outside the USA but I have no plans for the time being)

I do have a friend (age 21) who is French (in his 3rd year in an English studies program at a French university) and wants to live in the USA for a couple of years after he obtains his degree.

I want to help him out as much as I can, but I am unfamiliar with the whole process
(especially in regard to visas, work permits, expected costs, etc.).

If anyone can offer me advice, please post on this thread.
Thank you.
(please write in French, Spanish or English)

Live in NY is very difficulty, Food and accomadation is very costly.I have spended lot of day there ands also lost lot of money. Its ver hard to live there. In other point of view Ny is best for Job.There are number of companies are there.

21, she can find an internship in a company with a J1 VISA.
If it is a good company, the VISA can be sponsorised and she would not have to pay anything. Only the flight ticket.
Then, the J1 VISA can transform into a H1-B or another J1.
