Nomo Hotel - Located in a super cool neighborhood called Soho
Ace Hotel - Located in another cool neighborhood called Chelsea
Public Hotel - Located in Soho

DO NOT STAY IN A HOTEL IN TIMES SQUARE

You want to have more a New Yorker experience then stay in one of the three I listed because they are located in neighborhoods that are actually cool. Don't worry the neighborhoods are safe too.

Midtown (Times Square Area) is the worst possible place to stay when visiting NYC. Not just because of the prices but also because of the location. Its a place that all New Yorkers avoid. It's nice to visit that area but to stay in that area is a no no. So many drunk tourist that are obnoxious and loud.

Get a true New Yorker experience and stay where actual New Yorkers hangout and live.
