Advise on moving to Lae, PNG

Hi !
I am considering to move from Sri Lanka to Lae, PNG by early August, with my wife for a job in UNITECH.聽 Since furnished housing is provided, we need not move large items.聽 But would like to know more about shipping option available for items like Microwave, TV, vacuum, books, other kitchen items etc.聽 I am also thinking of bringing a small generator. Is buying the above cheaper and safer than shipping ?

Anything anyone can recommend as 'must bring' ?

All of the items you are looking to ship can be purchased in Lae incuding generators. Shipping costs can be prohibitive and will take time to get to you.

'Must bring' is a sense of humor and tolerance.
