Paying bills in Vanuatu

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

What bills do you pay? If you are renting, are bills included in the price of rent, and is this common practice in Vanuatu?

How can you pay your bills (e.g. online, at provider's store, at the post office)? Which is the most convenient or reliable way?

With what frequency are different bills sent in Vanuatu? Are there different deadlines for payment?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Well, in Vanuatu there are  basically two options when it comes to Paying Bills.
One would be the generic  way, and that is Standing in line and paying the bill and the other method would be through online Banking.
Yes, there are fines and penalties if the bills aren't paid on time.

Hi Priscilla,

I'm renting an apartment there before. I give my payment for the electricity and water to the land lord. The bill is paid monthly.

I haven't tried to pay any bills by myself or use internet banking to check if you can pay it by using it.

Regards,
