Managing finances in the US from Argentina

drbonafina

Hi,
With all these new economical regulations, is it possible to deposit money in an account opened in the US (either in pesos or dollars)? If so, which is the best way to do it?
Thanks.

If you are planning to live off of your savings in the US for a while, the best thing to do is to get a Citibank account for accessing money down here.  Keep the bulk of your money in a different bank (i.e. wells fargo, bank of america...), then transfer money into citi via the web when you need it.  You can withdraw in pesos in Bs As as needed.
