Rondonopolis visiting maybe

Digitarius

I am thinking of visiting a friend in Rondonopolis Brazil.  Does anyone know anything about this city that will help my decision making. I don't want to google the info I rather get it from the source or close to it.

Im assuming since you didnt mention the State its Rondonopolis Matto Grosso. All I know is I had aquaintences who lived there and moved. It’s an interior state very hot, no beaches. Forty celcius the next few days and it’s still winter.

I am not familiar with Rondonopolis but it is close to the Pantanal.  If you like wildlife and birds the Pantanal is breath taking.  We stayed 32 km from Pocone at Ecolodge Araras and can recommend it.  Porto Jofre is famous for jaguar sightings.

@DroploverSounds great thanks.  I will see if I can go there from Rondonopolis.  I am confused about the visa. Do I need to apply for a visa as an American?  Do you know?  From what I have read it says in the year 2025 Brazil will require a visa for Americans and Canadians so I am assuming I don't need an evisa is that correct?  I don't want to pay $80 if its not necessary.

@Digitarius

No e-visa requirements at present for Americans, Canadians nor Australians until at least 10th April 2025, so long as you arrive before that date.

@Peter Itamaraca excellent thanks.
