Learning Portuguese on my own.....any advice?

vladtobrazil

Since there is not a single portuguese tutor in Bakersfield, California. I decided to take things into my own hands.

I have Rosetta Stone and another program that has a HUGE vocabulary. Both these programs are great but, they do not immerse me in Brazil.

I am looking on youtube for tv shows that are educational or that talk alot like the news.  If anybody knows of any educational shows or shows with alot of verse, please let me know...thanks and take care.

Hey, I'm in the same boat. I found this podcast that is great, each one is a short conversation covering a topic of pronunciation or grammar along with a cultural topic.
Hope it helps!

Hi Vlad,

You can keep up on current events, read Portuguese text and watch short news videos on both Globo and Record television networks sites.

     and

They'll help.
