Hey man, I saw your message but unfortunately I'm traveling a lot right now so I am not staying in SP that much anymore. I would suggest that you should look for a job first before going to SP because you could never expect to find a job that quickly by just coming here. It's really hard especially you dont speak Portuguese. I dont want to discourage you but that is a fact. Considering the cost of living here in way too expensive compared to the Philippines. In my case, I have an agent based in London who is looking for jobs for me around the world. So I think you could also do that. Look for a professional headhunter that handles your field. Anyway if you are just planning to have some fun, Brazil is an amazing place. Learn some basic Portuguese before coming here, that will help you a lot. Good Luck!

thanks...do you have any idea which city in brazil not expensive? there is some apartment, and im still thinking about that.

thank you for advice...

As far as I know, cities in the north and northeast are cheaper compared to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Cities like Fortaleza, Recife, Manaus, Salvador and the likes. Apartments in Sao Paulo or in any part of Brazil for that matter is cheaper if you will rent on a longer period. More or less the apartment in Sao Paulo cost from 1800-2500Reais (average) that is around 50-60K pesos. It will be cheaper if you could share an apartment definitely. You could look for some °µÍø½ûÇøs looking for a roommate that way you could also know someone who could speak English and knows the city. Sao Paulo is a big city so expect the common city problems and crimes. I've been living in Brazil for 2 1/2 years and 1 year of that is in Sao Paulo but I never encountered anything that I read on the internet about how dangerous Sao Paulo is. Just know which places to avoid and when. How long are you planning to stay in Brazil? You could also try Pousadas instead of looking for a hotel. Pousadas are the traveller's inn here in Brazil. more or less, I think pousadas cost 50-80Reais per night.
Generally, if you will compare the prices of things here in Brazil to the Philippines. Everything is expensive except for Havaianas. 1 Real = 27 pesos. to give you an idea a can of soda is 1 Real in the supermarket but it is sold for 3 Reais in the street. A BigMac meal is around 15Reais which is around 400pesos. If Im not mistaken, the minimum wage here is around 500Reais per month. An average employee's salary here is 1500-3000Reais. If you could find a job with higher salary then that is a good job already.
Not all people speaks English. Actually it is hard to find someone who speaks English except for big cities like Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Salvador or Fortaleza. So it will be easier to assume that no one speaks English on the street.
