Thanks!

Hi,
No I guess you cannot withdraw US$ here in ATMs in Chile. However, in some ATMs you can get the money equivalent to US$ after conversion.

OK, thanks.
I heard rumors that it is like in Peru where the ATMs give you a choice: dollars or soles.
Cheers.

I've never seen an ATM here give you US dollars. But if you are using a US debit card, they will give you the equivalent amount in pesos.

But be known that ATMs will charge 3000-4000 additional depending upon different ATMs for converison.

And don't forget that most banks in the US charge you a pretty large fee as well. Usually a percentage of the amount you're withdrawing.

There are supposed to be a couple cards in the US that either don't have the foreign transaction fee or reimburse it at the end of the year.

Could you recommend a Bank that has the lowest withdrawl fees?

Thank you
