First time

irvlinda

My wife and I live in the US and are planning our first trip to Ecuador in July.  We want to spend about 10 days and get an overview of the country.  What will be our easiest and safest way to plan this trip?  Our long term plan is to retire to the country in a few years.
Other questions:
Does it get dark at 6pm everyday or what?
What is ocean temp throughout the year?
Any contact info?

Thanks for any info!

Hi Irvlinda,

Welcome to °µÍø½ûÇø! :)

Hello Irvlinda,
My bride and I are also looking into Ecuador for retirement and will be traveling there on January 6th for a little fact finding.  I was also concerned about the "easiest and safest way to plan" as well and have been working with a travel agency that came highly recommended through one of the editors at International Living magazine.  So far it has been easy and informative.  If it works out as I hope it will, it may be something that would interest you.  We will be concentrating on some established primary and one up and coming °µÍø½ûÇø areas as well as doing some tourist/fun stuff to soak up some of the color and culture.
Let me know if this sounds at all interesting.

Go to Manta! it is cheap and beautiful

Loving Ecuador

Water temp stays warm through the year, between 70F-80F.
Sun goes down between 6:15-6:30 pm all year as far as I know everywhere in Ecuador.
You may PM me about any questions or concerns of life in Ecuador. I will be happy to answer them all to the best of my ability. Kind regards :)
