buying raw land in Ecuador

Hello...my name is Mike and I am new to this forum.聽 My wife and I are trying to buy a piece of ocean view land in Ballenita, Ecuador...just outside of Salinas.聽 Does anyone have experience with buying raw land in Ecuador?

I don't personally, but everything I've read suggests using a reputable lawyer and you will have no problems. I understand that there are quite a few, especially in Cuenca, that speak English. I do know that unlike some other Latin American countries, that you can own property with a clear title. It's wonderful that the property taxes are extremely low, unlike the USA.
