Locate a Missing Person

oktazcat

Hello,

I have been looking for someone who lives in Lima that I worked with outside of Peru but we fell out of touch. The email address I have is no longer valid and I don't remember the phone number anymore. I have managed to find their DNI, birth record, and driver's license number after many, many hours of searching but now I'm stuck. From what I can find, they are still living but much like a ghost with no apparent social media profile, address, or phone numbers listed. I was able to find a partial phone number for them but the last 3 digits are X'ed out. I am considering hiring a private detective to locate this person but I don't know how to proceed and I don't want to get ripped off. Has anyone here ever hired a private detective and if so, can they give me any pointers on how I should proceed?

If it helps, Peru has an open policy for finding out peoples international travel status. The local court office can furnish you with the recent travel dates which should show whether they are in or out of the country to save chasing ghosts.
