Stuck in Egypt with newborn

Hello. My wife gave birth in Egypt back in August 2024 and after 6 months of suffering and back and forth with the US embassy, I was issued a CRBA and US passport for my son WITHOUT an Egyptian birth certificate. I was unable to obtain one at birth due to complications with our marriage not being registered in Egypt. Fast forward, after finally receiving my passport for my son, I figure out I need a stamp to leave the airport. And I can not get this stamp without the birth certificate! Back to square one..


I need to know what option I have leaving Egypt without the birth certificate.. I am stuck here! I am a US citizen, my son is a US citizen and my wife is a Philippines citizen. I feel helpless and held hostage. I don鈥檛 know what to do and the US embassy can not help me

we have the same problem, i Had to leave Egypt on 2023 (10 days before my daughter was born), they won't give my wife the egyptian birth certificate, we were applying for the CRBA and passport at the US embassy, but they refused to give it to my wife also because they want the egyptian birth certificate. I'm US citizen and My wife is Indonesian, she needs to leave egypt immediately as there is family emergency. how did you finally get the CRBA and passport for your son?
