I have actually bought some really large metal dustbin drums which we all use in my road now. It has really helped with the rubbish because now it is in a tidy place and we can tell if the dustbin man does not pick it all up. Everyone wanted it clean it just needed someone to start it.

Egyduck, you sound a little annoyed. It is not meant to be an offensive article my friend so I hope you are not seeing it in that light.

Guys, sorry to say this, but waste management is a huge problem here. I moved to Hurghada a year ago and was shocked to see so much rubbish everywhere. Its a very normal thing to throw rubbish out of the window or just out of the car.

me and my husband tried to clean the area around our apartment building (by the way it's a good area!), and what happened? The same day we found our neighbors throwing leftovers at the corner of the building. It's very frustrating! The city is turning into a rubbish bin.

DO people care at all??
