Questions about 2 year visa for Ethiopia

1...Is bought air ticket required before applying for visa?

2...On application, it asks for when is departure date, but what happens if person has to cancel that date and reserve for later flight (like next week/next month after written departure date)?

3...Do I need to have with my application a photo copy of my air ticket?

4...Beside passport and passport photo, is there anything else I should put in mail with application?

5...On application, it asks for purporse of travel. I will be getting married to my Ethiopian fiancee, and try to become Ethiopian citizen/resident, should I include that information for purpose, or should I just say "tourist/family visit"?

6...When 2 year visa is about to expire, can I go to office in Addis Ababa and pay 20 dollars for 1 month renewal?

7...How many months can I renew each month?

8...What are other USA Americans experiences with applying for 2 year tourist visa?

Hello my friend, if u want to cancel your flight for other date then u will pay $50 as punishement. you can get 1year visa at washington ethiopian embassy. you can send your passport and they will send u back. but check the ethiopian embassy in washington. for marriage, you must know her inperson specially to get visa for her from USA embassy in ethiopia. yes, when u rent house you must pay the price of the full month mostly.

I give true thanks to every one for any help, not just because I need information, but people in future that will need information.

My future wife (our relationship started 2 years ago) asked many times the Immigration Department about how I would become Ethiopian citizen/resident. They told her same answer each time
... we get marriage paper
... I stay in Ethiopia for a year
... after a year, Ethiopian government gives me Ethiopian passport.

9...Is what she says from the Immmigration Department correct information, or is there other information we need to know about?

10...Does any one know any Americans on this website or in Addis Ababa, that became Ethiopian citizen/resident after marrying Ethiopian, and what was their experiences as becoming future Ethiopian citizen/resident?
