Moving to Mauritius. Where to live?

morten62

Hello all.

As a part of my work, my family and I will have to move to Mauritius for a year and since I am the first one moving there in the entire company history I have been given hours to figure out stuff.

I need your suggestions for location ( or locations )  that meet the following wishes ( in prioritized order with the most important ones first):

  1. Close to an English speaking private school for M16 (highschool, proably) and F13.
  2. A furnished appartment with three bedrooms.
  3. Close to a "rent-a-desk"/hotoffice/desk-hotel place.
  4. Close to a location with kitesurfing school/community (or surfing or scuba diving or anything related to water).
  5. Close to a local scouting group as we all are avid scouts and would like to join/contribute.

We have no idea if such a place exist and may have to pick something else in the end, but those are the things we are looking for. I hope you can help us.

Best regards,

   Morten

P.S.: The plan is to move as soon as the school ends for summer 2024.

Hello and welcome on board !

Seems like Tamarin fits the description ... Let's see what other members have to suggest.

You can do some research on the west coast of Mauritius (Tamarin, Flic en Flac, Black River) on youtube to have a better idea.
