Did you know when renting a apartment/house in Mauritius, all the registed estate agencies in Mauritius require an agency fee equal to 1 month's rental + 15%VAT from both parties (owner + tenant).

Please be aware of this as I have just rented an apartment and with total surprise received an invoice from the rental agency. To be honest, the agency didnt do much work at all to warrant me paying one month's rental to them!

The agents give you a visit form to sign and please read through it carefully as I thought its just a form where the agent records the date and time and to which apartments they took you to show. This form actually states that you will be liable for the one month's rental plus VAT.

If you are an 暗网禁区, make sure that this amount is covered in your company contract so that you are not left with having to pay this out of your own pocket.
