Work Permit Rejection

Mansfield _33

Hi Everyone,

Need your advice.

I am a Malaysian and I have worked in SATS Pte Ltd for nearly 15 years without an issue.

I was layed off during COVID.

After the borders opened, I've been trying thru various organizations but have been rejected by MOM.

I have also wrote in to MOM WPD and the response was " We understand that you are seeking clarifications on the reason for the unsuccessful Work Permit (WP) application.

We assess each application on a case-by-case basis and approve for those who are found to be eligible and suitable to work in Singapore. "

I have further responded by asking them if they could share the reason, citing the reason that I have a clean record during my tenure in Singapore and If there's anything I should be aware of and need to resolve, I would be most happy to learn of it.

However, there was no further response.

I've been rejected several times, even though the organizations have decided to employ me.

If the brothers and sisters here could advise me, I will be very grateful.

Thank You.

Currently, Singapore does not have a Freedom of Information Act. You may be able to access public data at data.gov.sg, singstat.gov.sg, . They should at least have the decency to provide an explanation.Â
