people who intend to go to Nepal would be well advised to take out full insurance cover and protection before they go. Good advice is given by - search in google - The English point out that healthcare outside the capital and Pokhara is poor. They say travelers to Nepal should take out comprehensive medical coverage before they go. And they do not hide the fact that, according to them, emergency treatment for foreigners can turn out to be very expensive. Read the advice, because in their view, health care facilities, hygiene and sanitation in Government hospitals are of poor quality, particularly in the rural areas of Nepal.聽 According to this same official UK website, health services are poor by every international standard, and they go on to say that diseases and illnesses include: diarrhoea, goiter, intestinal parasites, leprosy, and tuberculosis, as being most common, they conclude.
Some of my friends from Europe have had some bad and costly experiences in the outer regions of Nepal, so better safe than sorry is the order of the day! Take out good medical coverage before you go.
