Best Multicab Companies in Cebu?

Fish83

Please give your opinions and experiences with buying a multicab in Cebu. I'm looking for a DA64V, 4×4, automatic. I'm looking for quality and reliable companies.

It's a real crap shoot. I first started looking in Cebu City but did not find anything decent that was also reasonably priced, even though that's where many of the conversion places are located (if you are in the Visayas).

So I started looking in Dumaguete, and went to a RUSCO dealer, but they seemed to be poor value (old and well used). I also really wanted a 5 speed and they had nothing that new. Went to another dealer and found a nice Viton DA63, but the brakes were dragging when I test drove it. I told them I would buy it if they fixed that but the next day someone had already purchased it, lol. The Viton's seem to be well done for the most part.

So we stopped at the Autolite dealer and he had a very nice DA63 4x4 with 5-speed, and the title had been properly transferred, so I bought it for 265K ($5K). He was a good dealer to work with, and it ran fine, so I took it over to Cebu province, where we were building a house, that's where it lives now. That was in summer 2022, and it has been quite reliable other than needing some front suspension work and a battery. That little truck has hauled a lot of river rock and building supplies up our mountain without any complaints. It will climb a wall in low range, and has a canopy that comes off when necessary.
