Relocating to Davao Soon from USA

I will be relocating to Davao soon and I am wanting to do some research before I visit. What are some good areas to look for housing (rent) in Davao. I would prefer an area where there are some westerners locally. Gated community with a guard would be even better. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give to me.

I moved to a town outside of Digos City about 3 weeks ago. I have been looking for a two br house with no luck in Digos City. Either very cheap or very expensive, nothing in between. May be forced to look in Davao myself. A heads up, if you are looking for a gated community, make sure to guage the security. At several communities, i have found the security asleep and not caring who or what entered and exited the site. There is security and then there is security.
