Hi I will be visiting singapore, malaysia & thailand in december and january and am wanting to make some contacts before arriving. I am south african and living near durban in kzn.Any advice on areas to stay and accomodation etc appreciated. Thanks Wayne

hey!
depends on what type of accommodation you are looking for -if you want backpackers' style try pillows and toast in chinatown. if you like to stay in a hotel, I would recommend Qunicy Hotel along Orchard Road, both places offer good quality accommodations but w/ diff price range/

Thanks for the reply and the advice. I will go for the backpackers type. I will google pillows & toast. Yes look forward to the visit, as i was overseas a long time ago when i visited usa.
