Below is my current situation and would like to ask for some advice:

My S Pass application was rejected last month. My HR contacted a MOM officer to inquire about the reason. The officer states that there are some "background check" issues but could not disclose further. We then found out that there is a mistake on my educational qualifications, where I made a mistake on stating the attendance end date. We then submitted an appeal along with a supporting document from my university that states the attendance end date as 21 May 2021 (I stated 30 August 2021 previously).

Still curious whether we made the right amendment (as the rejection reason is vague), I engaged RMI to perform a background check on me. The report came recently and it states that my attendance end date should be 21 August 2021 instead. This means that there is a discrepancy between the letter from my university and what RMI found in my record (My uni utilize an online portal for agencies to check candidates' qualifications). RMI suggested that I should follow exactly as what was written in their report.

Currently it has been around 3 weeks since we submitted the appeal, and I am a bit confused on what I should do next. Is it alright for me to ask my HR to clarify the above issues to the MOM and states that we want to amend the mistake in the appeal process? Or is it better for us to wait for the appeal outcome or submit a new application?

Finally, if we were to submit a new application, will the letter from my university be an issue (as the end date stated in the letter is different to the one in the RMI report), even if I do not submit the letter in the new application? Just wondering whether old files are revisited in the MOM for new applications.
