Certain business sectors in Thailand are restricted to foreigners, while others are accessible based on specific criteria. For instance, my experience with a digital marketing agency involved obtaining a NON B visa and work permit facilitated by the Board of Investment (BoI). The company was a joint Thai and Australian venture situated in Pattaya. It's worth noting that I needed to provide evidence of my bachelors degree in business management and relevant work experience with references from each employer, if you can provide this then may find opportunities within the tech sectors. Additionally, my marriage to a Thai national enables me to hold a NON O marriage visa, which also grants eligibility for a work permit.

The restricted area's can be found by googling Foreign Business Act and read through the document.

Not all jobs require to show employer references, but most do require your professional education document.

Also not all jobs can be held with a NON O marriage visa, it depends on location, either the Industrial Estate of Thailand, an Export Promotion Zone and the BOI status of the company if any.
