Receiving incoming calls in Vietnam with UK SIM

sanooku

I've been using three.co.uk SIM to make and receive calls while roaming in Vietnam without any issues up to now. Since a few days ago, I've not been able to receive calls from anyone.

Can make calls without any issues and can send and receive SMS too.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

When I go to phone setting can see that I'm connected to Viettel network. The recorded message the caller hears is sometimes a British woman saying:

sorry it has not been possible to connect your call. Please try again later

Sometimes, a Vietnamese woman saying in Vietnamese:

then in English:

the subscriber you have called is not available at the moment.

edit: I've contacted three.co.uk support a  few times, but they've not been able to solve.

I used  three.co.uk SIM to call my local Viettel SIM number and this is fine. But the other way round I can hear either the British woman's recorded message or the Vietnamese woman's recorded message.
