Moving Down to Nha Trang

GuestPoster3201

Hi all,

I've been in Hanoi for about 2 years and have had it up to here (imagine me holding my hand above by head) with the place. Just awful.

Anyhow, I have heard from numerous people that Nha Trang is lovely and offers much better lifestyle options.

I have a couple of questions to the old school residents:

1) Where is the nicer/high end accommodation located? Ideally I would like to be in a secure condo with pool/gym etc and close to supermarkets. I'm starting to look online and narrow down areas, but would like some experienced opinions on where is best to stay.

2) What's the crime like down there compared to Hanoi/HCM?

3) Do VNPT and Viettel offer unlimited FIBRE connections down there?

4) What are the healthcare options like?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, any info on the other queries?

Crime is the same as everywhere else. Obviously the bigger the city , bigger crime. Bad crimes seem only to happen to natives. Foreigners just get ripped off alot (money).

Not sure about phone/ data services.

Nha trang is a beach resort city alot of investment is coming in. It looks different every time I see it and it's right next to Cam Ron which has a airport.          I wish I could live there.

Thanks for the info, I might have a look

Housing and condos are being developed constantly.  But be careful and cautious. Even natives get ripped off on real estate,  I've seen it.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Thanks, yes it's well known as the country of rip offs. One becomes well aware of that once living here. Thanks for the heads up.

Internet optic fiber was also my concern. Most of the building have it. Go with Viettel I think.
