mennonite houses

keaneggett

Hey all,
About how long does an average home take to be built?  Let's say 2 bedroom, one bath and a kitchen, no bells or whistles just to make it easy.
Thank you!

On average a Mennonite house takes 18 to 22 weeks and the determining factor is the number of orders before yours. Typically, a 50% deposit is required to commence the process. I avail myself for any questions that may arise.

With best regards,

Ray

@BelizeExpertise  Thank you for that information... Did you contact another company to build the concrete posts or is that just an option?

Hello. Concrete pillars are built by the house builder, on centers that mate with house framing. Better than hardwood posts even when concrete pads are laid first under wood pillars.

Wood houses typically have 3 inch walls and are mostly ok when kiln dried wood used throughout. Buckling may occur when other than real dry wood is used.

Moisture meter valuable tool and being on site or having someone to check on the build out is often recommended.

Am enroute this week from Texas for another month; leaving the states.

Plett's Home Builders is one of the stops.

Hope this helps.
