Perhaps you could clarify.

Yes Balkan Holidays and flights had closed it's services , not bankcrupt as far as I'm aware but no longer operating and offering refunds to people who've booked holidays and flights.

"Remains solvent but has ceased trading.." - sounds like there might be an interesting back-story there:

It could be entirely coincidental, but one of the directors - married, I believe, to another director - was "terminated" last week (administratively, not "shallow grave in the forest-style" 😎).....

Wow

It's going to result in a lot fewer flights to and from Bulgaria unless another company takes their slots at airports. Not to mention the empty hotels here on the Black sea coast.

I guess there are a number of other tour / holiday companies in Bulgaria, as I'm seeing a significant number of flights commencing out of Varna Airport, using the Bulgarian charter airlines...  Bul Air, European Air Services BH Air and few other smaller ones.  It is Balkan Holidays Ltd., UK, that has ceased trading.  There is another Bulgarian owned company called Balkan Holidays Services, which part owns BH Air, which is independent from the UK company. BH Air aircraft are certainly still operating, with a fleet of three aircraft.  I shall try and Investigate what's happening to those aircraft.  There are two companies called  Balkan Holidays, one is in London, but entirely independent of Balkan Holidays Services Bulgaria.

Further investigation shows, that although Balkan Holidays UK Ltd., were an entirely different company to the Balkan Holidays Services BG, they did in fact charter BH Air aircraft, from the Bulgarian company.

I also notice on their website, they, cheekily, call BH Air "their own aircraft and crews" which they are not!

The beggars ran holidays to "Northern Cyprus", among other "Balkan" destinations - so good riddance, say I....
