Search for accommodation in Aix en Provence

I am looking for an appartment in Aix en provence. After a week I didn't find anything.

I am working at Cerege (Europole des arbres).

Is it better to live in Aix en provence or Marseille? I don't want to use my car, it is in Italy and to drive from Rome to Provence is about 1000 Km and it is a long journey.

For the first week I used the public transport, but it took 1 h from Aix en provence to Cerege, like from Marseille to Cerege.

Any suggestions?
