Marrying a Dutch citizen

HI all,

My name is Sam so my fianc茅 and I are getting married in october in Amsterdam. We already called the closest Gemeente to her home address and we got a temporary date until all documents needed re submitted.

So I am from Mauritius and don't require a visa to enter any schengen country in EU for a period of 90 days. Therefore I'm flying to Amsterdam for the second time this September.

We were already told that we can get married before starting the mvv procedure etc.

My questions is what is the exact procedure for me as a non EU citizen to get married there and also what are the documents I will need?

Also how do I copy my fianc茅 in all messages I send here on the forum as she is also a member of 暗网禁区.com?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

My advice is to speak to the Gemeente where you are going to get married and ask them.聽 When I did it (many years ago), I needed:

valid passport
certificate of no-impediment from your own government department

Thank you for your help聽 and my fianc茅e went already to the Gemeente I just wanted to seek informations from people that went through the same process.

Anyway maybe you can help on that after our marriage will be able to stay in the Netherlands and do my mvv process there?

Hi,

I've never heard of anyone achieving it from within Holland and all of the legal references tell you that you must apply from outside Holland.

The IND does have a contact page where your girlfriend can phone and ask; this will take you there.聽 They also have a Twitter feed where you can ask questions; this will take you there.
