Counsellor / psychologist job

Grish2020

Good morning, all,

I am a professional psychologist working in India and looking for a job in Netherlands. (So to pay my college fees in MS in Data Science in Netherland)

I applied to places where a psychologist is required. But due to the lack of Dutch language knowledge, my application got rejected. Even though I selected places where more  Indians reside.

Ideally, my course will begin on Jan 2021.

So, can anyone guide me on how to get a job?

Thank you in advance.

Regards
Grish

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Dutch law requires all licenced Medical professionals to be able to read/write and speak Dutch to a high level.

The COVID pandemic is causing significant issues in the Netherlands, one of which is that many people have lost their jobs, the implication of which for you is that there are many fewer jobs available.  You're asking for information about Rotterdam, this is one of the worse hit places in the Netherlands.  This will tell you whether you will be permitted to enter the Netherlands.

My advice is to speak to your new Uni now and ask them what is available locally, perhaps you need to review your plans.

Hope this helps.

There is no demand for psychologist in the Netherlands, we have more than enough therapists.
