@nz7521137 yes. I was thinking 0500 taxi pickup at my hotel near Faro Sé. That would put me at the departures entrance with 90 minutes for security and check in I think this would be appropriate.

0420 seems harsh.

@Ricktark1 in my experience I would aim for the airport 2-3 before so you can relax and not rush.

It seems harsh to me as well. Maybe have a look at the departure board for that day and time and see how many flights are being processed. The bottleneck is usually security, which is normally quick when there are few flights. I hope that help. Ultimately it is a very personal decision.
