TAX ID , are you forced to get one?

Hi. i will have a 1yr apartment lease but planing to stay 180d. And i want to keep my Tax residency in my home country.

Any one know how relaxed/strict the tax man are here?. I will do the residency permit registration after 90days.

Im retired only want to relax in RO under spring and summer then back home to Asia for winters.
