Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Slovenia?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Slovenia?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Hi Christine

As far as we were concerned, the process was not difficult at all but I would give you one bit of advice and that is to use a reputable Agent.聽 Don't try and DIY as there are several 'hidden' issues to do with house sales/buying that could trip you up with pretty dire consequences...

We used an Agent in Kranj and she did a marvellous job for us - that was nearly five years ago and she is still happy to give us advice whenever we call. What country are you moving from?聽 What area of Slovenia are you planning to move to?聽 What sort of house are you looking for? Town or Country?
